Getting to grips with tests

Examination day - 15 minutes

CULTURE MCQS

10% COEFFICIENT

The test is designed to assess your open-mindedness and curiosity rather than your erudition. A general culture section will cover topics such as current affairs, politics, geography, history, art and sports. A specialized section will focus on the video game industry and logic.

To succeed in this test, we encourage you to broaden your knowledge and explore your interests. It is also essential to deepen your understanding of the video game industry as a whole: its history, professions, names of studios, significant productions from the mid-1980s to the present day, production techniques, and important industry events (such as the Paris Games Week). These same themes may also be discussed during the individual interview.

Examination day - 1 hour 30 minutes

ANALYSIS TEST

20% COEFFICIENT

The test aims to evaluate your ability to effectively describe situations using available data, as well as your knowledge and logical reasoning. This could involve classic genre analysis (such as game type, gameplay evolution, analysis of specific features), as well as more forward-looking analyses like the evolution of certain markets or usage trends.

To succeed in this test, we recommend reading well-argued video game reviews, paying particular attention to gameplay and the presentation of the game system. Additionally, having a keen insight into the international video game industry and market can be beneficial.

Examination day - 1 hour

LOGIC TEST

20% COEFFICIENT

Examination day - 20 minutes

MOTIVATION INTERVIEW + PORTFOLIO
COEFFICIENT 50%

The motivation interview aims to assess your creative potential and measure your interest in the video game sector. This special moment revolves around the presentation of your portfolio. It is also an opportunity to showcase your personality, your desires, your creations, and the "why?" behind your application to the jury members. Your interests can help you stand out from other candidates, especially if they are reflected in your portfolio. Finally, we take advantage of this exchange to evaluate your oral English proficiency.

The test is eliminatory if the candidate obtains a mark below the average.

Parallel admissions

It is possible to join the program in 3rd or 4th year, depending on available places.

Parallel admission takes place in several stages:

  • File analysis
Once the form has been validated, the candidate's file is examined.

  • Interview
If the application is accepted, an online interview is organized with a member of the teaching team. This exchange enables us to assess the candidate's level and project, to ensure that he or she is well-suited to the program.

  • Written tests (if required)
Depending on the interview, written tests may be required to validate certain skills.

The aim is to guarantee successful integration and a career path tailored to the skills of each candidate.

Session dates 2025

For Years 2, 3 & 4 > Ongoing registration (subject to availability)

Getting to grips with tests

Prior to the examination

To ensure that you have the necessary skills to enter the desired year, we will ask you to provide us with a portfolio of your past work. This portfolio will complement an interview with the course director. Depending on the outcome of this interview, written tests may also be required.

All this will enable us to check that you are able to keep up with the pace of the training and that your career path corresponds to the expected requirements.
