AEC Animation 3D/VFX
A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
Taught entirely in English, the 3D Animation International Class trains professionals to direct animation films or series. Students will reinforce their practice of drawing, color and software; they will tackle the creation of storyboards, layout, sets, characters and the production of 3D animation. A large part of the program is devoted to management and working methods. The final year is devoted to the production of a short animated movie in team, wich is presented in front of a jury of professionals. This project allows students to put into practice the skills they have acquired during their training.
This program is divided into two parts: students spend the first 3 years in Valenciennes (France) while the 4th and 5th years takes place in Montreal (Canada).
Teaching is provided mostly by professional animators who share their experience and knowledge with our students. Students benefit from high-quality equipment, including a 4K amphitheater, a render farm, a photo studio, a sound studio, as well as a large range of computers equipped with the main software used in the studios (Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Houdine, Arnold, Redshift, Nuke, Unity…).
This course is designed for international students, but French students are also accepted if they are willing to challenge themselves by joining an English taught program.
At the end of 5th year, successful students obtain the Quebec Diploma of College Studies (AEC) in 3D Animation/VFX
