1-YEAR INTENSIVE PROGRAM
To join our graduate programs in Animation, Industrial Design or Video Game

The Rubika International Class is a one-year preparatory program targeting students looking to join one of our graduate programs in Animation, Industrial Design or Video Game. Upon successful completion of the 1-year intensive program, students obtain a Bachelor Degree from Rubika and have the possibility of continuing on to a 2-year graduate program in one of our specializations.

WHY COME TO RUBIKA?
Coming to Rubika as a full time student offers a great opportunity to developing your skills in a worldwide renowned school. Each year, Rubika is awarded with a number of international student prizes in Animation, Industrial Design and Video Game.

The international class opens the door to students that would like to do their studies in English, and supports them in the journey of integration to living in France.

WHO CAN APPLY?
You may apply for the International Class if you have completed a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate studies or validated 120 ECTS in a field related to Animation, Industrial Design or Video Game.
Candidates are expected to have the basic technical skills in drawing, perspective, creativity, 2d software such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Indesign, …
All courses are taught in English, therefore candidates are expected to have advanced oral and written skills (level B2), which will be verified upon registration and throughout the entry exams.

THE LEARNING JOURNEY
The program provides both subject-specific and project-based courses in which international students will be brought to work together with local students in a rich and multicultural environment. To facilitate integration with the local students, we offer linguistic preparation (French as a Foreign Language) as well as an introduction to the “French Touch”, history and culture. All in English.

WHAT IS NEXT?
Upon successful completion of this one-year program, students are awarded a Bachelor Degree from Rubika and thus have the option of joining the specialized course of their choice: Animation, Visual Effects, Game Design, Game Art, Product and Service Design, Transport Design or Digital Design.

HOW DO I APPLY?
Selection of candidates is done based on their application files, admission tests, portfolio and interview.
The registration fees are of €120.

The selection process is organised as follows:

  1. Online application and document upload
  2. Admission tests (online or organised in your home country)
  3. Online interview

Application deadline
Applications and required documents should be uploaded May 11th 2018 at the latest, although applications will be dealt with on a one-to-one basis, insofar as possible. Upon registration, the international admissions team will contact you with information on the admission tests and the skype interview organisation.

The admission tests will take place between the period of March 10th and May 20th ; results will be announced 2 weeks after each candidate’s test.

Please note that the International Course is designed for a maximum of 24 students per year.

TUITION FEES
Payment of the tuition fee is one of the enrolment conditions. As of 2018, tuition fees for the International Program are of 8 250 EUR for the year.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The program starts with a pre-seasonal course “introduction to french culture and french language”. Specific information on the dates will be available soon.

TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION AND LIVING EXPENSES
Selected students will be responsible for their travel and living costs in Valenciennes. In cases of proven financial need, scholarships may be granted by institutions other than Rubika to cover tuition fees and living expenses. For that, we encourage you to seek financial support from sources such as governmental institutions.
Rubika does not offer in-campus accommodation. Nevertheless our international student advisors will be able to help by directly booking a place in a private student residence nearby.
