CONTENT OF THE ENTRANCE EXAM

CREATIVITY TEST 1 : OBSERVATIONAL DRAWING

1 HOUR 30 MINUTES | COEFFICIENT 17%

The test aims to assess your ability to reproduce a still life accurately. Observation is a complex process that requires daily practice. To practice, we recommend that you regularly draw everyday objects and (if possible) take drawing classes. Technique is as important as the observation. Think of your hand as an extension of your eyes and check that each element is consistent with what you see. A successful observational drawing must perfectly respect the frame, the proportions of the object drawn, the perspective, the details…

CREATIVITY TEST 2: CREATIVE DRAWING

1 HOUR 30 MINUTES | COEFFICIENT 17%

The test aims to assess your ability to translate an emotion, an idea, a concept, a state of mind into a drawing, using your imagination. To develop your creative drawing skills, you can create animals, objects and characters by letting your imagination run wild. Illustrating your reading/music is also a particularly rich way to develop your creativity, to produce images linked to words and emotions.

CREATIVITY TEST 3: STORYBOARD

1 HOUR 30 MINUTES | COEFFICIENT 26%

This test aims to evaluate your ability to produce a short story based on a brief and to propose a storyboard, which implies the construction of a universe, sets, characters, etc. We advise you to immerse yourself in storyboarding techniques, to work on your creative drawing (charadesign) and to develop your narrative skills.

MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEW + PORTFOLIO

The motivation interview aims to assess your creative potential and to measure your interest in animation. This time revolves around the presentation of your portfolio. It is also an opportunity to show the members of the jury your personality, your dreams, your commitment, your passion and the reason of your application. Your interests can help you stand out from other candidates, especially if they are reflected in your portfolio. The test is eliminatory if the candidate obtains a mark below the average.
